A revolution has taken place in London over the last few years, and I’m sure you are just as excited about it as we are. With juice bars, detox cafés and gourmet-specific restaurants popping up all over the city, we are seeing “healthies” (people who love living active, as well as enjoying great food) spending their mornings, meetings and weekends digesting spectacularly delicious menus in all their glory. Not to mention our IG feeds are being flooded with beautiful snaps of pretty plates which instantly see us whats’apping the girls to arrange a brunch-date stat.

So if you too want to hit the town with your besties for a fuelling meal that will leave your body and tastebuds satisfied, we’ve got you covered with the top 5 healthy London eateries we are dinning at right now.

You can thank us later.

A Wanted Man – Chelsea

a-wanted-man

Of course we had to include this little gem, which is just down the road from our flagship store (convenient much?). Hosting a little bit of the wild west in the heart of Chelsea, a hint of an eastern promise and a whole lot of body-boosting goodness. Which makes AWM one of our favourite places to go for a quick brunch or even just for coffee and chill.

But wait, it gets better, AWM is not only Chelsea’s first espresso canteen but it’s also home to a brow bar and waxing salon. So you can get your pamper on, then relax with one of the best artisan coffee’s we have ever tried and an all-day menu of creative and healthy takes on the traditional café dishes, all inspired from the wild west to the cultured east.

We recommend: The sweet ‘n’ salty sourdough waffles lovingly toped with salted peanut cream, blueberry jam and roasted pecans.

Tibits – Heddon Street (just off Regent Street)

tibits

Tibits is definitely a veggies, vegans and all round health lovers dream. With over 40 vegetarian and vegan salads, hot dishes and freshly pressed juices and desserts from all over the world, there is something for everyone. The best part: you pay by weight. So you can take as much or as little as you like, and pay just for what you eat.

Tibits hosts a gorgeous spread of their gorgeous and tasty dishes in a buffet ‘help-yourself-style’ to which you then have your plate weighed and a price is calculated from there, and we managed to get a whole plate piled high of goodies for around £10.

Tibits is an all day affair so it makes it the perfect place for after work drinks, a leisurely meal with friends and family, or even take-away to have at home in your comfies while watching the latest series on Netflix.

We recommend: The nachos. Need we say more?!

Romeo’s Sugar Free Bakery – Islington

romeos

This is one for all our sweet tooth gals and guys that still want to have their cake and eat it too. Romeo’s is London’s first ever sugar and gluten-free bakery providing a wide range of tasty free-from artisan cakes, pastries, quiches and breads to eat in or take away. With dairy-free and Vegan options available, they really have catered for all.

The best part about Romeo’s is that their cakes and pastries taste exactly the same (if not better) than the original. You wouldn’t believe that what you are eating is completely sugar-free. Sure, a lot of people tend to roll their eyes when they hear bakery goods are “free-from”, assuming it tastes like nothing but cardboard, but we want to encourage you to try before you judge.

We recommend: The baked blueberry cheesecake. Soft and gooey in all the right places and once again completely sugar and gluten free!

Vanilla Black – Holborn

Vanilla-black

VB has been open since 2004 and has quickly become the go-to place for tasty and wholesome vegetarian cuisine, with a contemporary twist. Priding themselves on redefining non-meat cuisine by experimenting with not only the flavour combinations but also by throwing in modern techniques to make a menu so unique, so tasty and so good for you. VB ensures that they have created a space that completely turned the vegetarian world on its head- making this an upmarket treat rather than a local and standard restaurant, which is exactly why they come Michelin recommended!

Plus their staff are as friendly and attentive as the food is tasty, making this an all-round enjoyable culinary experience for veggos’s, or not.

We recommend: Their goats cheese, fennel pollen and pistachio with apple puree and rainbow chard- because Goats cheese is 100% in right now and we love it!

ETHOS – Oxford Circus

ethos

ETHOS is completely and utterly dedicated to providing the people of London with delicious and creative meat-free dishes that appeal to everyone. Their menu is compromised of vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar free dishes to suit a number of special dietary requirements for their customers. They truly take a whole new meaning to being deliciously different.

ETHOS was built with a passion for filling the lack and void of healthy meat-free dishes when eating out and decided to fill this gap in the market with healthy, yet sophisticated food that looks beautiful, colourful and tastes absolutely delicious. It’s this exact philosophy which makes ETHOS one of the most-loved and top health and vegetarian establishments in London.

ETHOS (like Tibits) is done on a help yourself, weighed plate style. So you can get and pay for exactly what you want.

We recommend: The Vegan Caesar Salad and their smoked butter bean dip is to die for.
